Word 2007: display a tooltip containing the definition of a word in the mouseover using a hyperlink

Word07 Perhaps you wanted to liven up your Word documents by adding a personal touch as the ability to display a tooltip on mouseover in which contains the definition of a word.

We invite you to discover a simple method that will allow you to do this with ease.

How?

  1. After entering your text, select the word you want to view the definition. (Eg AAEFAB)
  2. In group " Links" tab "Insert " click " Signet "
  3. In the text box " Bookmark Name: ", enter a meaningful name (for example AAEFAB) then click "Add "
  4. Keeping the selection, display the dialog "Insert Hyperlink " using the shortcut CTRL + K "
  5. In the navigation pane, select "Place in this document "
  6. in the tree select the previously added bookmark (AAEFAB).
  7. Click " Tooltip "
  8. In the dialog box that appears, enter the text of the definition (for our example: Algerian Association for Child and Family Home Volunteer )
  9. Click "OK " for once the button "OK .

Use:

Your word is now highlighted in blue, it'll just bring mouse over the tooltip appears.
