Here they are, Lord
Here they are, Lord,
assembled at the edge of this new year as seed and young beauties on a new field ... The
here, Lord, worried curious, like a fire burning inside they do not know;
they go the same pace, the docile and the rebels, eager to learn beautiful, eager to live, drunk, yes, drunk on life that overflows ... Let
, Lord, that for us, I am not concerned''the teacher''just to fit the mold, whatever it is, but I believe it is my responsibility to help
to stand as free men. Let
, Lord, that for them, I am not the''master''désireuxd'agir supreme above all
to dominate, to rule an entire nation of children: it is not of other As you master the servant girls and son of the King. Let
, Lord, that for them, I am not the''professor''who gossip do not hear them or too late.
Give me a man to be listening, and sometimes in doubt ...
Makes me be, for each of them, the companion on the road, one who eats the same bread and who knows how to shake hands.
Makes me be the driver, Lord, those who walk humbly with and guide the flock hungry;
give me, Lord, to be the carrier light up the torch and never loses eye none of these little ones, children of God. Amen
